COVID-19 Vaccine
The CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 illness.
FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccines are currently available to all U.S. citizens and residents. Visit the CDC website for more information.
Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine
The 6th Medical Group only provides the COVID vaccine for patients ages 12 years of age and older.
Patients should schedule an appointment by:
- Using the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal
- Calling the appointment line at 813-827-2273
- Walking in, to the MacDill Clinic, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Wednesday hours are 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
For patients younger than 12, or if you’d prefer to get your vaccine off-base, you can visit any pharmacy that accepts TRICARE and get vaccinated. Visit "Find a Network Pharmacy" to find a TRICARE network pharmacy near you. It’s recommended to call ahead, if possible, to see if they take walk-ins, if you need an appointment, and if they have the vaccine you’d like to receive.
