Drive-Thru Pharmacy
The Drive-Thru Pharmacy is the primary pickup location for activated electronic prescriptions (eRX) from off-base providers, prescriptions from virtual appointments, and all renewal and refill requests.
Refills
The refill telephone line is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Refills requested for pickup from the Drive-Thru Pharmacy will be available for pick-up at 8 a.m. after three duty days (four duty days if requested on a weekend or holiday).
Activations
New orders sent by a provider aren’t automatically activated. To have prescriptions processed, the patient must request the pharmacy to activate them.
To activate a prescription, message MacDill Pharmacy Services on the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or on the DosePharm mobile pharmacy application.
Activated electronic prescriptions will be available at the Drive-Thru Pharmacy at 8 a.m. after two duty days (three duty days if requested on a weekend or holiday).
Helpful Hints
- Patients have five duty days from the pickup date to pick up activated/refilled prescriptions or they will be returned to stock.
- Patients may order refills before their prescription runs out: 30 day supply = seven days prior; 90 day supply = 22 days prior.
- When greeted at the drive-thru window, please provide the patient’s last name, first name, and date of birth.
