Who We Serve
The Urgent Care Pharmacy services all eligible pharmacy beneficiaries.
Mission
The pharmacy’s primary mission is to process and provide urgent prescriptions from emergency rooms and urgent care centers, accept paper prescriptions from Veterans Affairs, and provide a walk-in access point for beneficiaries with urgent pharmacy questions and concerns.
Activations
New orders sent in by providers aren’t automatically activated. To have prescriptions processed, the patient must request the pharmacy to activate them.
To activate, message MacDill Pharmacy Services on the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or the DosePharm mobile pharmacy application.
Activated electronic prescriptions will be available at the Drive-Thru Pharmacy at 8 a.m. in two duty days (three duty days if requested on a weekend or holiday).
Prescription Drop-off
Properly issued/signed VA prescriptions may be dropped off at this pharmacy in our drop box areas and picked-up at the Drive-Thru Pharmacy. If prescriptions are dropped off before noon, they will be ready in two duty days. If prescriptions are dropped off after noon, they will be ready in three duty days.
