The Urgent Care Pharmacy services all eligible pharmacy beneficiaries
Mission
The pharmacy’s primary mission will be to process and provide urgent prescriptions from emergency rooms and urgent care centers, accept paper prescriptions from Veteran’s Affairs and provide a walk-in access point for beneficiaries with urgent pharmacy questions and concerns.
Activations
New orders sent in by the provider are not automatically activated. To have prescriptions processed, the patient must request the pharmacy to activate.
To activate, message MacDill Pharmacy Services through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or through Q-Anywhere.
Activated electronic prescriptions will be available at the Drive-Thru Pharmacy at 8 a.m. in 2 duty days. (3 duty days if requested during the weekend or holiday).
Please note: Special order medications will be available at the Drive-Thru Pharmacy at 8 a.m. in 5 duty days after activation.
Prescription Drop-off
Properly issued/signed VA prescriptions may be dropped off at this pharmacy within our designated pharmacy drop-box areas and picked-up at the Drive-Thru Pharmacy. If prescriptions are dropped off before 12 p.m., they will be ready in 2 duty days. If prescriptions are dropped off after 12 p.m., they will be ready in 3 duty days.
