Orthopedic Surgery Clinic 

The Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic staff specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, joint and soft tissue trauma. Our surgeons are credentialed at and operate at several hospitals around Tampa including HCA South Tampa and TGH Brandon Healthplex. New appointments are scheduled through the Referral Management Office (813-827-9900*1) and require a referral from your primary care manager.  

Eligibility 

CComprehensive orthopedic services are available to active-duty service members, ANG and reservists on active orders, retired military members, and TRICARE eligible dependents (14 years and older) on a referral basis. Your Primary Care Manager (PCM) must refer you for orthopedic or sports medicine services to be seen in our clinic. 

Services Available 

The MacDill Orthopedic Surgery Clinic staff includes two orthopedic surgeons, an orthopedic physician assistant, and two sports medicine physicians. Together they provide a wide array of orthopedic and sports medicine services for more than 145,000 TRICARE beneficiaries in the greater Tampa Bay area. 

Our orthopedic surgeons and orthopedic physician assistants treat orthopedic conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, and ankle. Our surgeons can also perform total joint replacements. Our sports medicine physicians specialize in treatment of acute and chronic soft tissue musculoskeletal injuries, as well as ultrasound-guided injection therapy. We do not treat back/spine, complex foot/ankle, or complex hand conditions. 

Appointments 

All routine initial appointments are scheduled through the Referral Management Center (RMC). If you are not contacted by RMC after receiving your orthopedic or sports medicine referral from your PCM, you may call 813-827-9900*1 to schedule an appointment.  After you have been seen in our clinic for an initial visit, you may schedule follow-up appointments by calling the Orthopedic Surgery Clinic directly at 813-827-9650.
